My first love is historical fiction. I am currently researching two novels that I really intend to finish someday. I began working in the short story and essay format simply for the experience of finishing things. My major writing influences are my Da, who taught me to love words and my mother, who has given me so much to write about. 

I have been making my living in technical and corporate communications for the last ten years. Having finally tired of that, I left my employment last May and returned to school (much to the amusement of my children). I am now a full-time student studying history and journalism.
