The fun began for me when I grew older and realized that old people don't feel or act old...they just have well used skin.

I am a retired educator, world traveler and snow bird. Writing is a passion of mine. I seem to keep seeing the humor in life even as I grow old.
Blogging has helped me write with more clarity of purpose and refining the different genre is a challenge every day. I love to write fiction.
I am interested in comments and suggestions from those of you that read my stories.
I have always loved the journey of reading a well written book. Beautiful words are what keep me between the pages. So many books and so little time. Ann Tyler is a great favorite of mine. She has the ability to turn pathos and untimely events into humor and remain true to her story.

Barbara's Travels...at home in the world! 1st Edition
This is a blog of many faces and tones. One day it will be an editorial piece, the next a story about aging or children. I talk a great deal about my travels and books I read. My favorite post is the Sunday Rambling I do almost weekly.
...the left side of my brain!
This blog is a reflection of my need to participate in the conversation. It is reality based and contains information, editorials and an occasional rant!
