I was born in a small town in N.E. Arizona in 1949. My mother and birth father divorced shortly after I was born and my mom married my dad when I was 2. My dad joined the Air Force and so I was raised as an Air Force "brat" and therefore have seen more than most. I have lived in California, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Florida, Ohio and JAPAN. I have 5 children (all grown) and 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 17 to 1-1/2. My life has had many ups and downs, which you will find reflected in my poetry. But the one thing that has never waivered is my faith in my Heavenly Father. The best thing that has happened to me in a LONG time is when I met my husband on the internet in 2002. He was in Arkansas and I was in Arizona. Well, now I'M in Arkansas and happier than I've ever been! And guess what? When I was born, my name was FORREST COOK...well, it's Forrest Cook AGAIN!!
I began writing poetry in my 30's but it's only been in the past several years that I have become serious in my writing. I am now branching out into short stories and children's stories and expect to have my first children's book published this year. Most of my writing is based on my life and my life experiences.
