Always a lover of history, I wanted to capture the best stories of my ancestors for future generations of my family. Turning it into a novel allowed me to breathe life into the characters and broaden the appeal. My approach was influenced heavily by Michael Shaara's Killer Angels. My love of history, its fascinating characters, and its lessons to be learned drive my writing.

I have just published a new novel entitled LEVIATHAN'S MASTER - THE WRECK OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST SAILING SHIP. The captain was my maternal great, great uncle. His life and the tragic last voyage of the 400 foot Thomas Lawson test character against the forces of nature.
