Award-winning writer/author,poet and journalist.
Born on the 16th of December 1960, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Schooling was at P.A.F. College, Chaklala.
Graduated from F.G. Sir Syed College, Rawalpindi affiliated with the Punjab University of Lahore.
Masters degree in English Literature from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. Also succeeded in the FPSC Civil Services' District Management Group, but did not continue as the leaning was towards writing and journalism.
Worked in almost all the English newspapers of Pakistan before joining Dawn News TV.
Member of the Royal Society of English Literature, UK and also a Distinguished Member and Fellow of the International Society of Poets (ISP), USA.
Featured in the International Poetry Hall of Fame since 1997.
Winner of the ISP's Best Poet Award in 2007. Nominated as Poet of the Year (2007-8) and invited to attend the ISP's Poetry Convention in Las Vegas Nevada, in July 2008.
Author of 10 books: nine poetry and one non-fiction. Four of these are e-books and can be accessed at http;/www.bookrix.com/-emmenay.
Participant of the Henry L. Stimson's SAIF internet dialogue in 1999-2000.
Winner of several international poetry and short story competitions from 1982 onwards. Award winning short stories include 'Catching A Wave' and 'More Things In Heaven And Earth' published in magazines of The News International, Karachi, Pakistan in 2001-2002.
Naveed (Emmenay) is currently writing a biography of his "unforgettable" schoolmate Daphne.

I am the eldest of five children born to Muzaffar Ahmed and Fatima Qudsia Ahmed. My name NAVEED is also spelt as NAVID.
