Jaded Silence Press was started on September 1st, 2007 by Pauline Ramsey with the help of Michael Raymond Robinson.
It started off as a dream, until Pauline really got to thinking that it'd be best to just go with it and see where it went. She discussed the idea of a press with her friend Michael, who also wanted to do something along those lines as well. And so the little press of JSP was born.
It took a long time for the first project called My Side by Lina Young to get published in it's first form. When Pauline recieved her review copy of it, she noticed that her work was far from complete. She edited, tweaked, and reformatted the entire project thus making the book longer, more legible for reading capabilities and adding more spice to the project in general.
Success wasn't something that was apparent right from the beginning. Books were slowly coming in at first, but Jaded was quickly becoming noticed by the thousands of members on Writerscafe.org. Along with the writing profile of Jaded Silence Press which features book reviews of various projects, JSP also has a writing group that now has about 125 members and is consistently growing.
It wasn't until January of 2008, with the publication of the Deliver Us From Evil horror anthology, did Jaded finally see some results from their hard work. With four books posted on their Lulu storefront and more waiting in queue, they finally saw some sales coming through. This has been a momentous occasion for our staff as it is a good feeling to know that something we helped authors to work on was finally being noticed by the public.
We have a staff of 10 members altogether who are constantly working on upcoming publishing projects, anthologies and author's books. All of them are writers themselves and are looking to publish their own works with Jaded Silence Press.
