Author and motivational speaker Robert  L. Mitchell, who is known to his family and friends as Bobby Mitchell, is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His mother died at an early age. He has one brother and they were raised by their grandmother, aunt and uncle. He graduated from West Philadelphia High School and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. For the last eleven years, he has resided in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia.

Robert L. Mitchell’s Mission, author of Another Man's Seed The mission of Robert L. Mitchell, the president of Starmakers LLC is to bring attention to the ever-growing problem of child abandonment. Having raised his own child and another person’s child, Mr. Mitchell uses himself as an example, as he seeks to advise others as they raise their own children, adoptive children or those who become guardians to children who are in the social service system. Throughout his life, Mr. Mitchell has been a philanthropist, a leader in the community and a supporter of the “common man”. Mr. Mitchell plans to continue this support by establishing a foundation that will support children in the social service system and the adults who serve them.
