For many years I operated an adventure company working in the Sahara and the deserts of the Middle East. As a result of thse journeys I wrote my first newspaper article, about Timbuktu. Since then my hundreds of articles have been published in 20 countries and 9 languages. My first book was published in 2003.

Listed in the 100th anniversary edition of Canadian Who's Who, 2010.
Recipient of the Surrey Board of Trade Special Achievement Award, 2009.
Recipient of the Surrey International Writers' Conference Special Achievement Award, 2009.
My book 'WAYWARD SAILOR, in search of the real Tristan Jones' was long-listed for the Wales Book of the Year Award in 2004.
