Thank you so much for visiting my page. My name is Greg Jackson and I have just completed my second novel, The MacGuffin Files: Carats and Cold Meat. It is self-published and my first venture, Operation: Misteltoe was available in stores in the upper Northwest and Southeast and has done relatively well.
I enjoy telling fun stories for the purpose of entertaining. Granted, a lot of novels do and I enjoy a free-wheeling writing style. I've been told that my novels read like movies and I couldn't be any more pleased, as movies are a passion of mine.
My third novel is on it's way, in another genre direction. I like to explore different genres but mystery is my favorite, mainly.
I have also penned three short films (will film at a later date) and working on a feature romantic comedy that I plan on shooting later this year.
My main inspiration is my son. Being a single father, we have forged a bond that's inseparable, and watching his imagination work only sparks interest in me wanting to tell more stories. I am also currently working on a children's series based on characters my son has created. It should be fun and I really can't wait to see how it comes out.
My literary preferences are: Piers Anthony, Clive Barker, Elmore Leonard, Lawrence Block (Rhodenbarr and Scudder equally), Dennis Lehane.
Favorite Films: Empire Stikes Back, Goonies, Back to the Future, anything Hitchcock, Tim Burton films and yes, Indiana Jones. I am a product of the film-making genius that was the mid '80s. I also love the Coen Brothers and am a really big fan of anything Chris Nolan touches.
Again, thank you again for checking out my bio. If you have made it this far down, I sincerely appreciate it. And please check me out on Lulu.com. Search for Greg Jackson. I hope you enjoy the way I tell stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
