A keen observer of life in general, and human nature in particular, Lainey has been putting her own spin on stories since she read her first picture book. Long before she realized a computer was actually a useful tool, she scribbled tales in spiral bound notebooks. Once she discovered the cut and paste feature and the wonder of spell-check, there was no stopping her. Her short stories and novel excerpts have placed or won in numerous contests and she's currently hard at work polishing three full-length manuscripts for publication. Widely traveled, Lainey enjoys visiting other climates and cultures, but is happy to call Canada home. She, her husband, their teenagers and a small menagerie of adorably bad-mannered pets reside in southern Ontario. When she's not busy at her keyboard creating what her kids refer to as her 'imaginary friends', she enjoys mucking about in the garden, or trekking off with the family to enjoy the great outdoors in the four-season playground of northern Ontario. Armed with an honors certificate in 'Writing for Publication & Writing Romance', I surfed onto the web, lurking in various writing forums. After winning or placing in numerous contests on Harlequin and The Romance Junkies websites, I finally submitted my writing for publication. I currently have a full length contemporary romance at The Wild Rose Press. "Settling Back" is available in all popular digital formats and trade paper back. I also have a trilogy of short stories in the Wild Rose Last Rose of Summer imprint. This line focuses on magical moments for mature readers because you don't have to be twenty-five and a size five to deserve a HEA, and the stories are all five star, reviewers choice reads!
