www.spiritualconnectionsinc.org I'm an Interfaith Minister and a first time self-published author of A Plain Brown Wren, A Spiritual Journey of a Survivor of Childhood Sexual Abuse. This is a true story of how I became a survivor instead of staying in denial and/or that victim role.

Background

I was physically, emotionally, sexually and verbally abused as a child. Both my parents were alcoholics and partied just about every weekend. So they really didn't have time for my brother and me. Looking for a father figure I encountered a man who raped me from age 12 to or 15 years of age. My stepfather's sister had me prostituting for her at the age of 15 until I was 22. I married an alcoholic and lived again a very abusive life with him. When I turned 25-years old I figured this was not the type of life I wanted so I went out seeking help. I have been in therapy with Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, MD and Michael Gillooly, L.C.S.W.-C for over 15-years. I'm much better from the therapy and writing my healing journal for which the book started out to be, but most of all I have had a lot of support from a small group of dear friends which I call my extended family.
If you read the book and have any questions, please feel free to contact me through my e-mail address: tommiewren@aol.com
Thank you and Peace--Rev. H. Thomasine Wren
