"A poem is never finished, only abandoned." This quote, written by Paul Valery, moves me and is part of the motivation for which I write. Life is a bunch of poems, a bunch of revelations and powerful words and stories that should not be kept inside. I have always been intrigued by the power of words and poetry has given me an outlet to share my soul with the world. My life has motivated me to express my thoughts and experiences through words.
I am now finished with the production of my first book called "Liberation" available at all major online bookstores like barnesandnoble.com (search under 'M. Abla'), and in it you will see that I have gone through a lot of things, but it has alowed me to learn, grow, and love.
Writing is my passion and the catalyst for coping with many life lessons. It has allowed me to feel liberated and enjoy each situation in a new light. Most of my poems are also relatable, whether you are a man, woman, child, African American, Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, etc. The ideas of love, family, and uncertainty are laced throughout my poems and are universal concepts.
"Put your heart at rest and realize that life is a test
...everyone struggles..." - Excerpt from Life by M. Abla
