My name is Terry Godwin and I live in Rainham, Kent, England. I only took up writing poetry seriously in 2003 and at present have 5 poetry books to my credit, and a talking book. I like to feel that my light-hearted writings bring people happiness. I know when I read to my audiences they do respond very cheerfully.
I very much enjoy meeting people and hope through this website I will make new contacts and friends.
I am a male golden oldie who still runs a small business to keep the wolves from the door. I have a wonderful wife who, although doesn't have the same passion about poetry as I do gives me great support when I need it.
I sell my books through the local shops, various websites and when I give my readings.

Founded "The Rainham Poetry Group which reads poetry in the Sunlight Centre's radio room every 4th Wed of the month.
Kent County Champion for poetry
Author or "Come Fly With Me" "Love, Love, Love" "Love and Marriage" "Anna's poems of love life and humour" and "The Laughing Poet." Also a talking Book "The Other side of the Rainbow." I have just received a grant from the National lottery to promote poetry in the Medway towns and encourage poets to send there written poetry to me so I can consider putting them in our books. There is no charge if your poetry is published. I write rhyming verse which my audiences seem to like.
