A late bloomer, I began writing seriously in my fifties. After several essays and short memoir pieces were published I was nominated in 2003 for a Pushcart Prize. The essay nominated grew into my first book, "Off Kilter:A Woman's Journey to Peace with Scoliosis Her Mother and Her Polish Heritage," Pearlsong Press, 2008.
I'm on the board of Story Circle Network, www.storycircle.org, assistant editor of their book review site and contributing editor of their journal.
I'm regional rep for the International Women's Writing Guild, www.iwwg.org.
I also write features for the Bucks County Herald, www.buckscountyherald.com and substitute as a reference librarian at a small public library.
I teach memoir writing in the continuing education division at Bucks County Community College, www.bucks.edu.
