Who am I? I am the girl from the ghetto. I grew up poor but fabulous in a dirty suburb of Detroit. I almost graduated from MSU, but then ran out of money and loans to pay for my senior year of college. I decided to do something crazy and move to Vegas to attend UNLV. After working as a casino Bartender, Cocktail Waitress, and Cabana Girl, I had had enough and moved back to Michigan, where I held many waitress and other odd jobs such as a flight attendant and a movie theatre manager. I had it good for a while as a Legal Assistant, but the economy sank and I jumped ship into civil service. It allowed me to graduate from college, attend and drop out of grad school, and now work towards a finding a career of any kind.
I will forever be a student. There are just too many things I need to learn and experience. In between school and work I am a writer (Who hasn’t been published since 2000, unless you count letters to the editors at EW Magazine); a photographer; a world traveler; a fan of music, movies and books; and all things British.
P.S. If you need to contact me, you can always email me @ thegirlfromtheghetto.gmail.com
