A former TV news reporter, S.W. Capps left the world of glitzy sets and pompous anchors for a full-time writing career.
His first novel, SALMON RUN (a book club favorite) was released in 2007, and chronicles the journey of a desperate corporate executive-turned-fugitive as he flees from the law, a bloodthirsty ex-wife and a hired killer.
With his latest work, TRAIN IN THE DISTANCE (an 'Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards' Quarterfinalist) he exposes the world of television news with a tale of good vs. evil, of career vs. conscience, of survival of the fittest on the most elemental scale. The result is a story that's difficult to fathom, yet impossible to discount. After all, he has been there.
He now lives and writes in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, two children, and 'investigative' dog. He is currently working on his next novel.
