I was born in the Coalfields of southern West Virginia. I've written for the Bluefieldian and had works featured in These Terraced Hills. I have written and published 'Product of My Meditation' and 'Words of Illumination'.

Background Information

The major writer influences on my work are Gwenelyn Brooks, Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni, Robert Frost, the bible, and Barack Obama (I happen to appreciate the rhetoric). I love to watch people and how they interact. I almost majored in psychology. The thoughts, emotions, and motivations people have are very interesting to me. I also love lingistics. I love to play with words and rhyme and see what comes out.
