I grew up in a small Kansas town, attend ESU in Emporia Kansas. I began pending songs at an early age, moved to short stories. In 2006 I released my first novel. The Legends Of Blue Feather: The Evil One. In 2007 I released the second installment of the trilogy. The Legends of Blue Feather II: The Power Of Orenda. In 2009 Book III the final installment of The Legends Of Blue Feather: Into A New World. Coming later this summer of 2010 THE SEVEN MAGIC JEWELS OF VERSA.
M. E. Williams’s The Legends of Blue Feather is the story of an Indian Princess who learns to overcome her shyness and accept her calling to rescue her people from a shadowy spirit of evil. Chief Blue Feather, the great-great grandfather of Princess Ituha, has called on her, and a group of others who have magical powers, to stop the designs of this evil spirit, who is known only as The Evil One. In their journey, Whitehawk, Morningstar, Little Wolf, Bear, and Princess Ituha learn to face down old fears and renew their lives by discovering their true identities.
In crafting this moving story of five heroes, Williams explores the archetypal themes of love, isolation, good and evil, and learning to embrace one’s calling and heritage. Princess Ituha’s journey from shy recluse to tribal heroine is a classic page-turner that resounds with mythic echoes. In her journey we will see our own.
In The Legends of Blue Feather, Book Two: The Power of Orenda, author M. E. Williams continues to examine a world where Native American power and dreamscapes reign supreme. Written for all ages, the author boasts a fine lesson on trust and camaraderie while he paints a vivid portrait of a timeless and natural world.
While wickedness is never far away, Princess Ituha makes her way as a wife and graceful leader. As she continues to share the legacy of her great-great-grandfather and begins to understand her life as a warrior for justice and truth she is deceived by dark forces. Her best friend Connie must unlock the secrets to discover the power of Orenda and join allegiance with Little Wolf, Whitehawk, Bear, and Morningstar to outwit the Evil One to insure her safety.
In this third and final volume of The Legends Of Blue Feather trilogy, by M. E. Williams, the Evil One has fomented chaos and pandemonium through the land, spawning a second civil war that is ripping the nation apart and turning brother against brother. Camarin, the blond-haired handmaiden and warrior-protector to Princess Ituha, finds herself pitted against the Evil One’s equally evil offspring, Nikki, who kidnaps Camarin’s daughter. While the Princess summons the three tribes to unify so they can relocate to a secret valley for sanctuary, Camarin pursues Nikki to rescue her daughter and help foil the malevolent plans of the Evil One, before his armies can annihilate everything she has grown to love. Written in the same adventurous style as the first two installments, Legends Of Blue Feather: The Evil One and The Legends Of Blue Feather, Book Two: The Power Of Orenda, author Williams explores archetypal themes of good vs. evil, loyalty, and the meaning of true friendship.
