Background Information

i fell in love with poetry when i heard my first rhyme. i found writing a poem instead of a journal entry was better therapy and more rewarding in the end. the drafting process healed me; the finished poem was the scar i could show off.

favorite poets: sylvia plath, robert frost, langston hughes, maya angelou

major influences: mom, my best friend from college, my two children, and that one man who has been breaking my heart for nearly 20 years--if he'd ever profess the love i know he posesses, i may have nothing to write about anymore
