The subtitle of my book explains a lot: "A Spiritual Journalist's Misadventures with Gurus, Messiahs, Sex, Psychedelics and Other Consciousness-Raising Adventures."
That was my publisher's subtitle, because I guess he wanted to sneak the word "sex" onto the cover. The one I originally submitted was "On Personally Preventing the Paradigm Shift," because unless the 99th monkey gets enlightened, the world never reaches the critical mass, or tipping point (as explained by the 100th monkey syndrome) so I am basically gumming up the works for the whole planet simply by continuing to be resistant, dense and stubborn. But along the way, there were 30 years worth of rather hilarious adventures all over the world. You can read the prologue here to get the drift: http://www.the99thmonkey.com
