Kandice Phillips joins the writing community with over 10 years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Consulting, Non-Profit Fundraising and Community Affairs for both local and national markets. With her experience she carries with her a unique passion for communications and has been a proven deliverer in corporations from initializing growth to facilitating new projects and program development.
Hailing from the city of New Orleans where she has served as program coordinator for government programs such as Senator Paulette Iron’s Youth Initiative Campaign and a public relations representative for special programs at Dillard University. Kandice brings to Atlanta her experience which has yielded her the opportunity to venture into publishing where she has served on the production team for Directories Unlimited, Production Manager for Green Circle Marketing, and currently she serves as the Advertising Services Coordinator and Circulation Manager for one of Atlanta’s oldest African American publications, The Atlanta Voice.
Kandice’s past and present professional skills include an extensive knowledge of various software programs such as Microsoft Office suites and Adobe Creative Suites. Her skills range from program development to implementation and presentation. In the area of consulting Kandice has served on the creative and development teams for Murphy 3 Ministries, JVU Entertainment, Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, McDonalds Gift Talent Competition, The Ware Agency and has recently been added to the Board of Directors for Covenant Connection a non-profit community based outreach program aiding orphaned youth, seniors and families in crisis.
With a passion for women’s issues especially those regarding equality on race based and sexuality concerns, Kandice is committed to publishing works that empower women to be the staunch leaders in our society that they are destined to be. Having a strong spiritual foundation Kandice is passionate about bridging the gap between sexuality and spirituality and encourages spiritual growth and prosperity in every area of life including incorporating God in your relationships and sexuality choices. Kandice’s motto is “God is love and all manifestations of love are reflections of God”
Kandice holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dillard University in Mass Communications with a specialization in Public Relations. She has a variety of certificates in Leadership and is a member of The National Association of Black Journalist .Kandice is an accomplished published writer having articles and columns published in The Dallas Weekly Newspaper, The Data News Weekly Newspaper, and The Atlanta Voice Newspaper. She has recently completed her first self published book of collected prose and poetry entitled Manifestations to be published in 2008. She is also the CEO of Flourish Inc., a full severice communications agencey providing services such as publishing, marketing, public relations, and graphic design.
