Missionary Sheila L. Jackson was born in Shreveport, La on August 6, 1966 and was raised by her mother Mary L. Lewis and her stepfather Joe Lewis Jr. She graduated from Booker T. Washington H.S in 1984. Sheila is a professional Clinical Laboratory Scientist and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from ULM of Monroe, La and an Associate of Science degree from Southern University, Shreveport, La.
Missionary Jackson was not a product of a Christian home, but she was always aware that there is a God; she prayed to Him every night since the third grade, in hopes that He would hear her. Sheila Jackson’s mother always knew that there was something different about her, because she would play church or tried to read the bible; while the others kids played games.
She confessed Christ at the age of 11 through coercion; a friend was being baptized and convinced Sheila to do the same, but at the age of 23 after being taught about Christ and His awesome salvation plan for man, she confessed and gave her life over to Him.
In 1993, after four years at the Lake Zion Baptist church, God anointed Missionary Jackson to teach His Word to the women Sunday school class; many local ministries recognized her gift as well, and invited her on many occasions to teach.
In 1997, Sheila and her husband walked the streets of Belcher and Oil City, Louisiana, witnessing the Word of God to lost souls. On July 12, 1998, her Pastor, Rev James T. Sims, recognized God’s power moving in her life and licensed her as a Missionary to preach the Word of God when the opportunity arises and also to meet the needs of those in the community. After being ordained as a Missionary, she went out into the community and started a nursing home ministry, carrying the Word of God to those that were confined. These opportunities open the doors for Sheila to be the guest speaker at many local women events.
On August 2004, not knowing that God was getting ready to bestow the gift to write upon her, He spoke to Missionary Jackson and asked, “Did she believe that she could write a book?” Sheila didn’t immediately act upon it, but later, she stepped out on faith and began to write what would be an eight months journey. She completed the manuscript on December 2005 and recieved a contract on March 26, 2006. On May 15, 2007, "The Enemy Within" was released.
