I am a women devoted to promoting black literature. I started writing at a tender age of seven, and had my first poem published about the age of eight about Dr Martin Luther King. This was only the beginning. I completed my first unpublished novel at the age of twelve, focused on young teen girl’s lives to stardom. Now this was only the beginning of my literary career. I took on poetry when I entered high school, and heavily showered my high school sweet heart with mu love letters; this was my passion for writing expanding into something amazing.
In February 2008 Tamika created AAMBC, a literary online book club. This group which is focused on promoting black authors stepped on the literary scene and started to blossom into a new powerful literary movement. Tamika then branched out to Radio Host by creating AAMBC Radio, interviewing the best new authors, and exploring African Americans in history. Found at www.blogtalkradio.com/aambc. AAMBC then created the affiliated radio show Sensual Music and Poems, showcasing neo soul and poetry at it finest. Located at www.blogtalkradio.com/sensul-music-poems
Becoming a publisher is something else Tamika took on, in the year of 2008, Tamika and several authors got together to create a non profit publishing company to help assist authors financially and the AAMBC members. Release date for the A reflection of me: An AAMBC Anthology will be set very soon.
Tamika’s Debut Novel “The Ultimate No No” is currently being revised and promoted to many different big publishing houses. Soon to be released is the debut novel focused on love, revenge, and deceit. Visit www.aambookclub.net to read more about when “The Ultimate No No” will be released.
