Born in Quebec, educated in Quebec and Ontario, Anne Grobbo spent a number of years working as a journalist and business writer before turning to fiction. She now lives in rural southwestern Ontario where she teaches music, keeps bees and dreams up mystery plots for her series, "The Gloria Trevisi Mysteries" published by Double Dragon Publishing.
"In Gloria, I've created a character much like a daughter, so I feel quite close to her. I wanted a sleuth with traditional values and strong integrity. Gloria is a city-born Canadian-Italian with a strong work ethic, traditional family background and a commitment to her marriage and faith. When I was a teenager, I devoured all the paperbacks on my parents' bookshelves, from spy thrillers to mystery and suspense. So I wanted to create a series that wouldn't embarrass a mom if she found her 14-year-old daughter perusing it. I think teenagers would get a kick out of Gloria."
There are five "Gloria Trevisi Mysteries" currently available. The sixth will be released in 2012 by Double Dragon Publishing.
