I am a devotional poet. My Guru is the most influentual person in my life. Her name is Mata Amritanandamayi. She is also known as The Hugging Saint or Amma which means 'mother' in many Indian languages. I have taken on the name 'Ammapoet' because my gurus name is 'Amma' therefore I am a 'poet of Amma'. :-)
Amma, Mata Amritanandamayi, Says- 'My sole mission is to love and serve one and all. Amma's only wish is that her hands should always be on someone's shoulder, consoling and caressing them and wiping their tears, even while breathing her last.'
She is all the motivation I need in life and is behind all that I write.

Is there a name when love meets love?
Words are hindrances. Not even the word
LOVE can utter meaning!
Looking at you, looking at me and my heart is
blooming into a hundred blossoms entirely for you.
My velvet petals falling slowly one by one, offerings
at your feet. The sun rises in your face and sets
in my heart.
Looking at you looking at me, a new era is
reaching shore and devotion crashes down on my heart
