A twenty year veteran of the Army MPs, I enjoyed a career in law enforcement. My early studies were in paleontology and entomology, but I never pursued those fields, either in higher education or as a career. As a voracious reader from about age twelve, I discovered sci-fi when I picked up A.E. van Vogt's "Pawns of Null-A", and was fascinated by space travel, teleportation, and other aspects of the genre. Other areas of adventure also attracted me, with such authors as Edgar Rice Burroughs, H. Rider Haggard, Kenneth Robeson (Doc Savage), and Maxwell Grant (The Shadow). After retirement, I turned to writing to satisfy my own desires and pleasures. I wanted to tell stories! Locally, I am involved in church, a writer's group, an Arts Enrichment Council, and various activities with the Chamber of Commerce and paleontology projects.
