When I’m not working the dayjob, I’m usually writing. Otherwise I’m hiking and taking photos of nature and medicinal plants, gardening organically and studying permaculture techniques, working with my horses, or putting out any number of fires (not the literal kind, thank goodness) that crop up at any given time on an old farm property.
Living in the rural Arkansas Ozarks provides me with close communion to Nature and much fodder for blog and story ideas.
I also sometimes write non-fiction articles about rural life, Nature, ginseng and native medicinal plants.
My genre is speculative fiction, and I think it falls under the slipstream category. I could be wrong. But it doesn’t fit ‘Fantasy’ neatly and the science isn’t hard enough for me to be comfortable calling it ‘Science Fiction’. Although most of the time there is a romantic element to my stories, they don’t fit the ‘Romance’ category either. Almost all of it is set in worlds that are not-quite-ordinary, yet not completely foreign.
Here are my publishing credits and endeavors.
