The Baby In My Dream Was Me: Following The Clues Of My Life And Finding My Self
The Baby In My Dream Was Me is Paula Kramer's journal of her five years in therapy with two different therapists because of suicidal depression. Paula found emotional health only after she understood that a memory from her childhood meant that her mother had tried to kill her. Paula's first therapist left her so unprepared for the meaning of her memories that Paula almost killed three children. Paula's second therapist gave Paula the freedom she needed to follow the clues of her life and find her self.
The Baby In My Dream Was Me includes a list of the dozens of therapist errors revealed by research. Both the list and Paula's journal show how many therapists do not understand therapy. The book includes: a brief explanation of behavior styles and values and how they can affect abusive relationships, recommendations for making therapy more effective, and worksheets for both clients and therapists. Sample portions of the book are available at woodrosepress.com. Samples readings include the chapter on therapist errors, portions of Paula's journal, the explanations about behavior styles and values, and the worksheets for identifing behavior styles and values in your relationships.
From Pyramids To Circles: Shaping Groups To Succeed
Paula Kramer wrote this book after horrible experiences in two small groups. Paula shows how the structure of a pyramid group focuses the members on their own status and position. She also shows how the structure of a circle group encourages success and can even make the path to success fun. Sample portions of the book are available at woodrosepress.com. Samples include the chapter on shaping groups and the chapter on group roles. The chapter on shaping groups gives examples of how law enforcement agencies and governemts have been shaping groups to succeed or fail for hundreds of years. It also gives examples how those same agencies can shape groups to succeed.
Opening, Closing, and Slamming Doors in Relationships
