DrO is an international speaker and author. She has lectured on education, technology, and distance education on five continents. She is published worldwide. Dr Olmstead obtained her bachelor degree in Agribusiness and Natural Resources Education at the University of Florida, a master’s degree in Vocational Administration and a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida.
DrO, a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, has a service mentality and works with many charities and organizations. She has recently been nominated for the prestigious Summit Award. She has been included in numerous Who's Who in the world, starting in Junior College.
DrO is a board of director emeritus of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Apopka, is on the advisory board, and is a legacy member of the Affiliate. Additionally, she is a Heritage member of Canine Companions for Independence, was on the board of directors of The Daisy House in Apopka, and partner's with many schools in the community. Olmstead is an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Apopka and is both a business and personal lifetime member of the Apopka Historical Society. DrO is a legacy member of Hospice of the Comforter in honor of her late husband, Jeffery. She is a Toastmaster and Rotarian.
DrO is a businessperson with a thriving shipping and printing franchise and she privately owns a publishing company. Olmstead has taught public middle and high school and has been in both administration and instruction at an international distance education university headquartered in Florida. She has taught students all over the third rock from the sun.
