I was born on November 8, 1973 at Hurly medical center in Flint, MI. My life wasn't the typical black male in America. I was brought up in a good Christian home where both my parents worked. I have three older siblings and a lot of uncles, aunts, cousins, and a lot of country in me. My parents both originated from lower Tennessee. The Hall and Alamo area there's where I've developed my keen sense of intellect, physical toughness, and extreme maturity for peoples good or bad all of this was thought to me by my father, but I didn't listen so here you have me, Merin Lydell Johnson. I consider myself a loner.
My childhood from age 0-12 was Christian based understanding. In my earthly father’s (Jimmie Ray Johnson) house EVERYBODY served the Lord and Savior Jesus the CHRIST period. I had my battles with going to church five days a week, but with my dad’s strong right whooping hand I made my choices wisely. I thank GOD they did that.
When I got in my late teens I've gotten bigger and stronger, my parents couldn't control my second brother ( Kenneth Jerome Johnson) and myself, so we took to the streets. We became living statics doing what we needed to get what we wanted, then became druggies and alcoholic along with other members of my family. My grandmother conceived nineteen children on my father side and my mother’s parents had eight children, so you can say I have the true Johnson crew.
After years of parties and lots of sex, I graduated from Flint Northwestern High in June 1991despite finishing low in my class seating, but I Finished, and that's all that mattered to me.
I found a good woman in my early twenties. I even married her, had a son by her and broke my vows by making bad decisions. We divorced five years later while I was in prison, and that hurt me when I got the news but I deserved it, I was a hard man to live with. While I sat in prison I decided to write a book, I named it “Bedroom Eyes” the life of a exotic dancer.
I decided to write about dancers because I was a dancer in 92, 93, and 98 while I was married. That's how I know so much about dancers. This is my fantasy that I put on paper, a four part series.
Now I'm in my mid-thirties and doing time, several years later released. Still under the watchful eye, but I have a higher power and he's on my side. So pick up my book, brace yourself and enjoy. .
