Louise is a wonderful story teller. Read her books "On Friday Night", "Talisman", “The Heart of a Nurse”, “Do You Know Why?”.

Background Information

I was born in the town of Birobidjan that is located at the Far East  of Siberia.
Initially the Russian government sent prisoners to Birobidjan to serve a sentence. Later, Stalin called Jews to volunteer in building a new Jewish republic there.

People, including my family, driven by starvation, unemployment, and Soviet Government promises, moved there. Only later they learned that it was impossible to come back due to the Former Soviet Union’s rules.

My parents moved North, to the ever-frost land, a dangerous place but well paid, to make enough money to buy the way out of the prison town. We lived there for 10 years and then moved to the Ukraine, a much warmer and desirable place.

Ukraine was the place where I learned how to play the accordion, and to entertain people with my songs. I graduated college and managed a company’s financial department. I found my first and the only love and gave birth to my two children.

Then my family and I moved to America.

America is a place where I raised my children, and discovered a different self-perspective.

I was able to change my career, and conduct my own business
, something that was not customary to do in the former Soviet Union.

I was able to freely ask questions and learn true answers, something that was dangerous to do in the former Soviet Union.

I was able to reflect my knowledge, experience, and creations in my writing and bring it to the world, something that was simply impossible to do in the former Soviet Union.

I’m thrilled to introduce my writing to you, and hope you will enjoy

The Path to Zion
It's a story of a Jewish family and their struggles to survive in the worst environment imaginable. This is the story of a family's terrible ordeal, a story filled with hardship, famine, starvation and death. I found the book to be horribly fascinating and read it through in one setting. The author brings the reader just a small glimpse of the extent of the misery people of Jewish faith have had to endure over the years. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn first hand the true meaning of horror and despair and how people can overcome almost anything if they have the will to persevere.

The Heart of a Nurse
"The Heart of a Nurse" tells a story as American couple took their Australian guest to vacation with them to show her the wonderful land of Florida and she told them the story of her mother who was a surgical nurse during WW2 and whose family was exterminated during Holocaust.

On Friday Night
“On Friday Night” two women found themselves locked in a building. They had to spend a night there, but they were not upset. Instead, they had a good time talking.

Do You Know Why?
These are stories from my childhood, when I lived in the land of ever-frost at the North of Russia.
