Dimetrous was born in Greenville, Texas on September 30, 1948.  She grew up in Greenville, and graduated from Carver High Schooil in 1967.  She worked for the Greenville Independent School District for 26 years, retiring in December of 2003.

During that same year she received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, in the same month.  She has done other studies working towards a Master's.

She was married to the late Maceal Nixon, who passed away in March of 2004.  She has one son, Kevin Nixon, who resides in Dallas, Texas.

Her hobbies include collecting antiques, reading, and doing something constructive each day.

By being married to a minister for 35 years, inspired her to write her first book,and it tells the many struggles ministers and their wives go through.  It will walk you through the many obstacles, with also showing you how to overcome them.
