I was born in Loanhead, Scotland and migrated to Australia with my parents when I was seven years old.  My experiences as a teacher, deputy principal and principal in country and outback schools in South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, as well as being a coach for football, cricket and lawn bowls were a major influence when I wrote my first young adult novel, "Forest Spirit", which has now been published.  I also enjoy fishing and camping and watching the wildlife and have incorporated all this into the novel.  I have now completed  a sequel to 'Forest Spirit', which I have called 'Forest Shadows'. My publisher, JoJo has just advised me that my first book, 'Forest Spirit' will become an e-book. My second novel in the trilogy, 'Forest Shadows' will be released in March, 2013 as a hard copy. It will also be available as an e-book. 'Forest Secrets,' the third book in the trilogy, has been accepted for publication and will be released mid year, 2013. As a contributing author, I attended the recent launch of 'A Tumble in Time,' a children's fantasy with Tasmania's historic Franklin House as the background. The next thing on the agenda is an adult thriller, 'The Quinine Factor.' I have a publishing agreement from JoJo Publishing for this and am presently busy with the research.
