When my marriage broke up in 1999, a complete surprise to me, I suddenly found myself with a heck of a lot of free time on my hands. So one day I was surfing the net and ran across some truly brilliant, witty, and completely obsessive people who had created an online community that was devoted to keeping David Dortort's brain child - the TV show Bonanza - alive. I was instantly hooked.
As I corresponded with the inspired creaters of Bonanza pages I also found something I had never heard of before – fan fiction. I read some stories and was truly impressed at the incredible talent and imagination that was literally leaking out everywhere and wondered if I could do the same. I considered the question for a long time and decided to take the plunge, figuring that the only way to find out if I could write was by just doing so...and so I did.
I've received hundreds of fan emails over the years from my fan fiction and have really enjoyed the writing, but now I feel the need to take the plunge again and write something else...and so I am.
