I have been writing since I was 9yrs old. My first article was published in 1997 by a local newspaper. When I first began writing I wrote fiction. As I got older my interestes change and I began writing non-fiction. Currently I write about exercise, health, nutrition, science (various disciplines) outdoors, logic and common myths. I have written six books and co-authored one. I have contributed to numerous publications (National and International). My biggest writing accomplishment to date is my book Knowledge and Nonsense: the science of nutrition and exercise.
My most recent articles are Raven Run Nature Sanctuary, and Scientific and Nonscientific Approaches to Knowledge. I am currently in the process of working on two articles. The articles are titled Hiking Poles: the science and How to Survive. I have many interests and when I really want to learn about these interests I research, conduct interviews with other specialists in that field and try to experience what I am writing about.
I have been working in the exercise industry for 18 yrs. I owned my own commercial gym for 11 yrs. I became involved with sports and exercise when I was nine years old. I was involved with anything physical from a very early age. I have conducted approximately 40 camps regarding exercise and nutrition. Today the majority of my time is spent outdoors, conducting research, and writing on various topics. I plan on beginning work on my new title in early 2009 The Amazing World. The book will take an in-depth look at the world of science and nature. The book will give a brief account of the lives of many famous and not so famous scientists. The book will also cover key dates and discoveries in science.
I am currently negotiating a regular column with a few magazines. The magazines cover the field of exercise, science, and outdoors.
If you need an article on any of the topics mentioned above feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jamie Hale
