Background

I was the eldest of six children born to a second generation Puerto Rican teenager. I attended private school and in high school received my education on the streets of every major city. I was fortunate enough to be saved and attend the University of Wisconsin where I majored in Global studies. I read the first self motivating book at 19. Iyanla Vanzant made me strong enough to leave an abusive relationship and restored my self worth. It was at that moment that I knew I would one day write words that would move another wounded soul, or perhaps congratulate courage in the battles we wage in our minds. I enjoy TD Jakes and his motivational books with real stories. I enjoy ethnic love stories by all authors. For a long time I didn't know love existed among the less fortunate. All I saw was anger hurt and shame. I am a lover of expression and sharing words and feelings in an effort to touch even one person in a way that changes their existence for the better. If I live for change I will not die for anything. If anyone changes becasue of me I will never die. My purpose lives on.
