She is the author of several poems, lyrics, short stories and articles. Some of these have not yet been published. She has several fiction and non-fiction novel and short story ideas filed away. She has recently finished a nonfiction book called Secret Anguish: A Journey to Better Health, which is about her health journey, starting with her premature birth. Presley has been writing since 1999.

She received a Freelance Writing degree in 2001 from Harcourt Learning Direct (now Penn Foster Career School) in Scranton, PA.

In her free time, Presley enjoys reading, photography, crafts, cooking and baking, outdoor activities such as sports, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing and hiking. She likes to listen to music of the 40s, 50s and 60s, and enjoys television shows such as CSI, Bones, Due South, Pit Boss, America's Funniest Videos, Young Riders, MacGyver, The IT Crowd and Survivor among others. She takes part in surveying the weather.

Presley lives in New England with her family, two fish, two parakeets and sixteen gerbils.
