My name is María Eugenia Falabella. I’m an Argentinian Teacher of English, and I hold a
Bachelor degree in the Teaching of English (UCALP) or Universidad Católica de La Plata, and an MA in the TEFL from the Universidad de Jaén, Spain. I've also participated in the AVE course of studies, what means I've been trained to be a Virtual Tutor, as well as a Virtual Tutor of Spanish as a Foreign Language

Background

In Argentina, I’ve been working as a Teacher of English both, at primary and secondary levels for ten years; and, as part of an educational programme run in the province of Buenos Aires, I’ve been a Teacher Trainer in one of its twenty-five regions since 2005. Within the same project, I’m a member of a Research Team whose field of investigation is the Teaching of English at Primary School. ESP is my field od education, too.
By the time being, I trully believe that one of my paramount objectives is to abridge the field of Education and the Teaching of English as an International Language, helping and educating our students to be active citizens of the XXI century.

Teaching English at Primary School
This blog is aimed at those who consider that when talking about Teaching English at Primary School we refer to more than "teaching a language"; actually, we trully believe that we have gone beyond those limits, educating them as a whole, that is physically, mentally, morally, spiritually and socially, in this XXI century.
Literature at EPB
This blog is aimed at those educators who see in the use of authentic and genuine literature in the lessons of English as an International Language a vehicle to holistic education, going even beyond communicative competence as one of our targets, to focus so, on Interculcural Competence.
Master in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language
It's a pleasure for me to be part of the staff of tutors in this Master Course of Studies, and share my work with authorities in this field, such as Jesús Arzamendi, Philip Ball and Silvia Pueyo, among others, who have gently encouraged me to be involved not only in the TEFL part, but also in the FOPELE one.
