Being such a well known magazine mogul, it might surprise you to know that I have never had a single journalism class in my life… My college learning was focused on architecture and design at Texas A&M University, class of 1980.
Being a bit on the macabre side, my main influence is Steven King; but not his fiction, it is his books about how he writes horror that have always pointed me in the right direction!
My research on the life and times of Lizzie Borden have spanned a decade. This 116 year old murder mystery had been told and retold, but still the truth about these grizzly murders has not been discovered… and may never be.
Which is why we are still talking about Lizzie today! The human spirit just hates not knowing if she did, or she didn’t!
