I remember when science fiction was fun. I remember b-grade nights, metal on vinyl, popcorn and controlled substances. When the greatest genre ever to raise its monstrous head out of the subconcious soup wasn't pwnd by geeks with dice and spandex suits.
That's where I'm coming from, I guess. I want to make sci-fi without endless military schlock, salutes and lycra, talk-shop fuzz and hard-physics lookups. Just adventure, kick-ass characters, and some weird, mind-warping stuff to keep the ol' neurons sparking.
Influences? Pop culture trash on one hand, the old masters of sci-fi on the other, I guess. Manga and Death Metal. Ed Roth and Isaac Asimov. Wagnerian apocalypse opera at the drive-in on Mars...
They say 'when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro' - so here's my registration.
