Perhaps these individuals: Henri David Thoreau, Leonard Cohen and YLea* could be called "major influences" but I'd have to list thousands to do credit to the request. I've been influenced by lay teachers, priests, nuns, professionals in what I term "working" fields such as logging, plumbing, seamstressing, cooking, child care, bus drivers, delivery people, carpenters, writers, artists of many talents, speakers (particularly those from developing and oppressed nations), and finally I'd add that theoretical physicists and science fiction writers have contributed most to my understanding of the cosmos. In my world, if you can think it, or express it in any way at all, then "it" is as real as any other.
I need to explain YLea. Along with other individuals, she has been one of my consistent non-Earthian teachers. I do not know YLea's "position" in the scheme of things, only that her teaching did change my life--so much so that I have become an alien and stranger on Planet Earth, or as I often think of her, Planet Hurt. She did not do it alone for I was also shaped by the dream-giver, El ISSA (once herself a healer on this world) and the Master Phaelon, as tough as any Jedi or Ninja teacher, if all done through the mind.
"Who is Sha'Tara"?
The question has been asked, Who is Sha'Tara? Temporary resident of Planet Earth - field technician, writer, philosopher, or as some say, jack of all trades, master of none. No formal education -- just observation and experience. Every day is better than the one before if I learned something, and how impossible not to.
I am a transgendered being who enjoys mostly being alone. I like to live in my dreams and my personal concepts of reality. I accept Earth man's consensus reality, but I reject it completely as any kind of reasonable working system. I also accept nature's reality, but reject it also as defective; lacking in vision and understanding.
I know better now. I know that the pain of death and rebirth is unnecessary to the proper expansion of life into infinity. I know that Earth is a world in a very low level of evolution, crude and crass, harsh, unforgiving and chaotic with an uncertain future. And I would change that in order to give something better. To this end, I have entered into the Spartan training of the Avatar. I have created the Path that I will walk in the ages to come, thus formulating my life's Purpose. By "life" I do not mean this one physical Earthian incarnation, but the ongoing mind that I call, for obvious reasons to me, Sha'Tara. The one of Earth who observes, judges, ponders, experiences sorrow and joy over what is absorbed and learned thereby. Learning, always learning, and in the process, changing, always changing.
