I'm a career research scientist who currently works for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture on the campus of Penn State University. I'm also an inventor and I hold three U.S. Patents in the field of analytical chemistry. I've been married for 41 years, have four children, three foster children, and seven grandchildren. I have enjoyed reading all types of literature, fiction and nonfiction. My favorite authors would include Frank Herbert, James Clavell, Mark Twain, and William Skakespeare. I first got the writing bug in high school, but the responsibilities of adulthood kept me too busy to pursue it any further. Now that the kids have grown and moved out, I have the time to do a little writing now and then. I've self published one novel and have finished a second. I'm currently looking for an agent to help me get the second book published. I am now working on a third novel and I hope to complete it sometime in 2009. A fourth book is in the outline stage.
