With three of our four children having grown and flown the nest it was time for a mid-life crisis; no problem...... we'll sell up everything we own, buy a motorhome, take our last son, aged thirteen, out of school and travel Europe for a year. Growing old disgracefully or staying young at heart, it depends which way you look at life. Me, I rather like the disgraceful one.
We left winter behind and for one year we barbecued on beaches, skied down mountains, swam in warm seas and danced at fiestas. We wildcamped our way across the world, with good times and bad, but it was the icing and the cherry on the cake that we shared it all with our great teenage son.
Never far from laughter............ that's where I like to be.
