Samantha Vamos grew up on the East Coast where she attended law school and practiced law. She spent her 30's in Chicago before relocating to the Pacific Northwest where she and her family now reside. “Before You Were Here, Mi Amor” (Viking, 2009) is her first children's book. Her children's second book, “The Cazuela That the Farm Maiden Stirred” will be published in Fall 2010 by Charlesbridge.

I have been writing stories since I was a little girl. I don't know what I would do if I was unable to express my ideas through the written word. Writing is a passion and I thoroughly enjoy the process of writing.
