Karen Victoria Smith
I grew up with an Irish grandmother who told a good tale and loved being told them. She taught me about her life in Ireland, the old ways and that everything was possible. She and I woud curl up on the sofa and watch old horror movies (Bela Lugosi, Vincent Price). Eventually I moved on to Anne Rice and others.
I convinced myself that I was a Math/Science geek and tried to earn a living, but the worlds, characters and stories in my head woud not be silenced.
And so I write.
