My major influence in writing was the joy of reading ... devouring books by my favorite authors! I grew up primarily in Texas, from the age of 5, and definitely fit the image of an independent, headstrong Texan. I'm an Aggie as well, having earned my MBA from Texas A&M University in 1981. Currently I work in the data processing industry, software sales. And, yes, I'd rather write full time, but unfortunately I require a sufficient income to provide for myself and my two teenage sons ... not to mention cars, killer car insurance premiums for teenage boys, and college! more...
