As a child I loved to read, a passion stemmed from a desire to know what lay in the leaves that kept my mother so enchanted for hours on end. She used to take me to the library once every few weeks and check out about six books each time, usually period dramas. She always encouraged me to read and introduced me to the works of Enid Blyton's Famous Five. I then challenged myself to read every book in the children's section of the library.
Between the pages of the books I read I would becomes lost in the worlds of the characters to the point of being oblivious of all else around me more...
