My heart fiercely beats with each crash of a wave
The thundering noise resounds in each cave
Quiet and peaceful the morning it broke
All was transformed with the wind’s angry cloak
Calm cowardly retreated when the spry hit the rocks
The sun hid its face for the wind, it would mock
The wind has no pity for what’s in its path
Spiteful and arrogant, it pours out its wrath
Such is the storm invading our life
Raining heartache, worry, misery and strife
Whipping and pounding on our vulnerable soul
Etching disruption, carving a hole
Hurtful and shameless, it challenges our faith
Expecting our spirit to bow out in disgrace
Don’t waver or quit when the storm starts to rage
Drop your anchor, hold fast, in the battle engage
For just like the wind with its brawny self-might
Your storm will surrender, swept into the night
Nothing should batter your self-worth and pride
No wind blows forever, with time it subsides
Enduring any storm takes courage my friend
Be patient, be diligent, you will see the end
