Well-said, my friend. Good for you for having the courage to open up about the experience! Your faith obviously runs deep, and that
is great. That you are so tolerant of beliefs and practices that differ from your says you are a good person, indeed. However, sexual orientation has nothing to do with religion or morals. The theory that it is determined by choice is scientifically untenable. A lot men and women have one or two same-sex experiences and discover that that is not for them...because they were born heterosexual. However, for a homosexual, male-female sex goes completely against the grain. Either you are born to be heterosexual, or you are born to be homosexual. There are animals that are homosexual. No choice/no sin. Even if the few mentions in the Christian bible were always interpreted the same way, we are talking centuries ago. We no longer believe the earth is flat or that taking more than one bath a week is a sure path to illness. We no longer believe that it is impossible to
talk to someone hundreds or thousands of miles away. So much has
changed...because so many of us are much better educated.
Sorry. Didn't mean to let the teacher in me take over. Just that
I feel so strongly that condemning traits that are inborn is
inhumane. Be like saying it is a sin to have a crooked nose or
hair that, like mine, insists on going its own way.:)
Thank you again for your honesty and sweetness. I am so glad you
are at the Den.
Always, and Then,
Phyllis

| This is so true, if God sees all sins as the same, who are we to decide one is worse than the other? I join you in your prayer at the end. |

This touched me - to proclaim something personal in a public forum shows much about character; knowing that at any time any of us could stumble and fall or be drawn away. Everyone struggles in this evil world. Thank God for His grace and the hand of his unfailing love that reaches out and picks us back up.
Blessings ... |

Nicely written Joyce. All to often people are quick to judge others. I pray for those, for none of are perfect. If we were then Jesus would have died for nothing. May God bless you every day of your life.
