Let Shadows cast no more

A poem about wishing someone from the past would let go of hate and move on in peace

An unfamiliar echo

A poisoned viscious voice

Spitting words of thunder

I guess that is your choice

The future is much brighter

Without the ghosts of past

A heart is only free to roam

Without an anchor cast

Shackled to the pain

Refusing to let go

The final curtain has come down

Yet still you play the show

The finger points around

Yet you have no blame

Nobody is perfect

Two hearts are not the same

Step into the brightness

Let shadow’s be no more

Resentment just a hollow sound

Upon a withered door
